Making Jam Part 1

During the start of the year i bought a Rhubarb plant and don't know why because i don't really like the taste of it but anyway now it's got lots of stalks on it and is ready to pick, i have been thinking what could i make with it, i did make a Rhubarb and Ginger Crumble which was very nice but i would have to make hell of a lot of it to use it all up so after searching on the Internet i have decided to make Rhubarb and Ginger Jam, its the first time i have attempted this and hoping it will go well. Will keep you all up to date on how it go's and will post some pictures, I'm off to the shop later to get my sugar.

Hi,

A little tip for you with rhubarb which takes away the tartness. Cut the rhubarb up into little pieces, pour boiling water on and leave for 15mins. Pour away the water then cook the rhubarb as usual. I also didn't like rhubarb until I was told to do this and now love rhubarb crumble and pies. Good luck with the jam I am making blackberry and apple jam.
